Mangalore: Newly appointed Vidhan Parishad member Ivan D’Souza, Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy President Stany Alwaris and Karnataka Byari Sahitya Academy President Umar U.H. was felicitated by MCC Bank Limited on Saturday.
MCC Bank Chairman Anil Lobo welcomed and said, “MCC Bank has a lot of responsibility towards the society, for the last six years the bank has been conducting several social programs for the benefit of the society. We hope to have 125 branches in the state by the silver jubilee after the centenary of the bank,” he said.
Former MLA J.R. Lobo gave a congratulatory speech, recalling his relationship with the honorees and said that honors given to eminent persons increase the responsibility towards the society.
Ivan D’Souza, Stany Alvaris and Umar U.H. was honoured. Speaking on receiving the award, Ivan D’Souza thanked the bank for congratulating him saying that the bank has good dividend due to the hard work of the bank’s staff.
Bank Vice Chairman Gerald Jude D’Silva, Bank Directors Andrew D’Souza, Irene Rebello, Anil Patrao, Elroy Kiran Crasto, J.P. Rodriguez, Roshan D’Souza, Dr. Frieda D’Souza, Melvin Wass, Harold Monteiro, Vincent Lasrado, Sushant Saldanha, Alvin Monteiro, Felix D’Cruz, Mrs. Sharmila Menez were present. Managing Committee President David D’Souza congratulated and Manoj Fernandes moderated the programme. Deputy General Manager Raj Menages was present.
